Texas Licensed Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist
Job Summary
To support emergency department and inpatient teams, the full-time Texas Licensed Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations and consultations remotely, with flexible scheduling and reduced weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and consultations for patients across various age groups in emergency and inpatient settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including supervising Nurse Practitioners, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage a schedule of 13-16 shifts per month, with only 1-2 weekend shifts required
Required qualifications:
- Active medical license in Texas or Georgia; IMLC Letter of Qualification preferred
- Completion of a 4-year ACGME Residency Program in Psychiatry
- Board Certification in Psychiatry is required
- Minimum of 2 years of post-residency consult-liaison experience
- Experience treating patients aged 5 and older in emergency or inpatient settings
