Job Summary

Supporting the medical staff credentialing and privileging process, the full-time Texas Licensed Credentialing Specialist will coordinate the collection and validation of practitioner information, perform primary source verification, and prepare credentialing files for review, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate initial appointments, reappointments, and privilege changes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Perform primary source verification of licensure, education, and training, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Serve as the primary contact for practitioners regarding credentialing status and requirements, providing updates and support as needed
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in hospital credentialing, medical staff services, or provider credentialing
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Credentialing certification (CPCS or CPMSM) preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital credentialing processes and applicable regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn hospital credentialing systems
