Job Summary
Supporting the medical staff credentialing and privileging process, the full-time Texas Licensed Credentialing Specialist will coordinate the collection and validation of practitioner information, perform primary source verification, and prepare credentialing files for review, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate initial appointments, reappointments, and privilege changes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Perform primary source verification of licensure, education, and training, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Serve as the primary contact for practitioners regarding credentialing status and requirements, providing updates and support as needed
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in hospital credentialing, medical staff services, or provider credentialing
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
- Credentialing certification (CPCS or CPMSM) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital credentialing processes and applicable regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn hospital credentialing systems
