Job Summary

Managing day-to-day operations, the full-time Texas Licensed Deputy CISO will oversee four functional teams, drive compliance initiatives, and standardize security processes across multiple legacy environments in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Directly manage functional leads in GRC, AppSec, Cloud/Vulnerability, and SecOps, ensuring accountability and delivery
  • Own the operational roadmap for SOC 1, SOC 2, and PCI DSS compliance, including evidence collection and audit readiness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and manage vendor relationships for security tooling and operations
Required qualifications
  • 10+ years in information security, with at least 4 years in a management role overseeing security teams or functional leads
  • Direct experience with SOC 1 or SOC 2 audits and PCI DSS assessments as a control owner or program lead
  • Experience with FedRAMP or GovRAMP authorization processes, including control implementation and SSP development
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms and cloud security tooling
  • Proven track record of standardizing security processes across multiple business units or environments
