Texas Licensed Design Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the engineering team in a fully remote capacity, the full-time Texas Licensed Design Engineer will design and develop electrical systems for utility-scale solar energy projects, focusing on optimizing solar field layouts and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs and layouts for solar field projects, including electrical, structural, and mechanical aspects
• Perform load analysis and energy output calculations to optimize solar array efficiency
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet project goals, timelines, and budget constraints

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical design engineering focused on solar energy projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant industry standards
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or PVsyst
• Relevant certifications, such as Professional Engineer (PE) or NABCEP Solar PV Installer certification, are highly desirable
