Job Summary
Supporting students with dyslexia and related reading differences, the fully remote, full-time Texas Licensed Dyslexia Specialist will deliver structured literacy instruction and individualized support through virtual sessions, ensuring students achieve academic progress while managing their athletic commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group structured literacy instruction using evidence-based methods tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor student progress through assessments and adjust instructional plans accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student strategies, progress, and ways to reinforce learning at home
Required qualifications
- Direct experience supporting students with dyslexia, demonstrating measurable reading gains
- Training in structured literacy programs such as Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading System
- Ability to analyze assessment data and develop clear instructional plans
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, reading, speech-language pathology, or a related field
- Understanding of the demands of competitive youth athletics
