Job Summary
Leading cutting-edge clean energy projects, the contract Texas Licensed Electrical Engineer will work remotely to manage the physical layout and design of high-voltage outdoor substations, ensuring compliance with North American standards and local Grid Codes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the physical layout, plan & elevation drawings, and equipment erection details for primary high-voltage outdoor substations (AIS/GIS)
- Produce and verify detailed electrical design packages, including single-line diagrams and control building layouts
- Conduct rigorous technical reviews and validate electrical designs, ensuring PE sealing for compliance and safety
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 7 to 20 years of experience in T&D physical substation design
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards
- Experience with local Grid Codes and utility integration
