Texas Licensed Energy Storage Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Energy Storage Transmission Interconnection Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct steady-state transmission studies to identify network upgrade needs and propose solutions
• Build and modify Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) models for load flow and dynamics simulations
• Manage generator interconnection submissions and collaborate with utilities and grid operators

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred, especially in Power and Energy Systems
• 1-5 years of experience in the power or energy sector, with a focus on renewables preferred
• Proficiency in modeling and simulations, with TARA experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of market operations, including CAISO, PJM, SPP, and MISO
• Experience modeling inverter-based plants and collaborating with cross-functional teams
