Job Summary

Driving energy trading and optimization initiatives, the full-time Texas Licensed Energy Trading Director will oversee energy trading functions for utility-scale battery storage assets, develop power trading hedging strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance trading operations in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage energy trading functions for utility-scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs to maximize project revenues
• Develop and implement asset-based power trading hedging strategies considering day-ahead and real-time markets
• Drive quantitative modeling for energy trading functions, focusing on system implementation and process improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field with utility-scale renewables experience
• Proven success in power trading and asset optimization, including experience with day-ahead/real-time markets and energy risk management
• Ability to perform and review quantitative energy trading models is required
• Experience in roles such as Director of Energy Trading, VP of Power Trading, or similar within renewable or clean energy companies
