Job Summary
Seeking a Texas Licensed Environmental Planner, the full-time hourly Staff Level Environmental Planner will contribute to environmental impact analyses and support the development of Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) while working from the Houston office with potential for a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist project managers in the development of EAs and EISs, including NEPA documents for various business lines
- Prepare key aspects of NEPA documents and navigate the NEPA process, including public scoping and comment review
- Write technical reports and permit applications for compliance with federal and state environmental regulations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, natural resource management, geology, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of environmental planning or consulting experience
- Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations including NEPA, CWA, and ESA
- Demonstrated experience with federal and state agencies such as USACE and FEMA
- Strong technical proficiency in environmental planning projects
