Job Summary
To support environmental compliance initiatives, the full-time Lead Environmental Scientist will provide technical guidance in stormwater and wastewater permitting, manage multi-media environmental projects, and mentor junior staff while working onsite or in a hybrid/remote capacity in Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support for client environmental permitting and compliance programs under federal and state regulations
- Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans and wastewater discharge permit applications
- Conduct environmental compliance audits and recommend corrective actions for industrial facilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or a closely related discipline
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience focused on industrial site environmental compliance and permitting
- Demonstrated experience with stormwater and wastewater permitting and compliance
- Strong knowledge of RCRA hazardous/non-hazardous waste regulations and compliance programs
- Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
