Texas Licensed F5 Load Balancer Engineer

Job Summary

To support complex, large-scale initiatives within a financial services environment, the full-time Senior F5 Load Balancer Engineer will design, implement, and support load-balancing solutions while collaborating with application teams, network and security engineers, and external vendors, with the option for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement load-balancing solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise networking and security standards
• Provide Level 3 support for critical services, troubleshooting complex operational issues and contributing to technical problem resolution
• Maintain design and operational documentation, support capacity planning, and assist with platform lifecycle activities

Required qualifications

• Strong expertise in F5 Networks and VMware AVI, with hands-on experience in enterprise networking and application infrastructure
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Java, and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of network and application security, including application flows and underlying network dependencies
• Experience in developing high- and low-level designs for load balancing infrastructure and related changes
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather technical requirements and resolve issues
