Job Summary
Leading the financial reporting and technical accounting functions, the full-time salaried Texas Licensed Financial Director will oversee the preparation and compliance of financial statements, manage external audit relationships, and provide strategic insights to executive leadership in a Dallas-based role.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards
- Resolve complex accounting issues through research and collaboration, leading the implementation of new accounting standards
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and maintain robust internal control frameworks across financial reporting workflows
Required qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Accounting or MBA preferred
- 8-10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or national public accounting firms
- Proficiency in enterprise ERPs (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, OneStream, Hyperion)
- Exceptional technical writing skills and the ability to articulate complex GAAP rules to executive leadership
