Job Summary
To deliver an industry-leading claims experience, the remote Texas Licensed Fire Adjuster will investigate claims involving fires and thefts, maintain daily agendas for each claim, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate investigations of fire and theft claims, ensuring prompt and courteous communication with all parties involved
- Resolve claims by analyzing loss details, policy coverages, and submitted documentation while composing accurate correspondence for policyholders
- Collaborate with SIU and third-party vendors, providing input for the continuous development of claims guidelines and best practices
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience handling insurance claims with direct responsibility for coverage decisions and issuing payments
- Currently licensed in the home state if required, with the ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states, including Texas, within three months
- Familiarity with claims best practices and a high sense of professionalism and empathy
- Curiosity and an open-minded approach to problem-solving
- Great attention to detail
