Texas Licensed High Voltage Technician

Job Summary

To support high voltage transmission renewable energy systems, the full-time Texas Licensed High Voltage Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of substation equipment while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct testing, repairs, and construction activities on high voltage substation equipment
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for renewable energy and wind farm substation operations
• Assist with commissioning activities for renewable energy systems, including wind and solar farms

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience with high voltage substations
• Working knowledge of relay protection and transmission systems
• Hands-on experience with electrical protective relays, switchgears, and transformers
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures
