Job Summary
To support high voltage transmission renewable energy systems, the full-time Texas Licensed High Voltage Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of substation equipment while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct testing, repairs, and construction activities on high voltage substation equipment
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for renewable energy and wind farm substation operations
- Assist with commissioning activities for renewable energy systems, including wind and solar farms
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of electrical experience with high voltage substations
- Working knowledge of relay protection and transmission systems
- Hands-on experience with electrical protective relays, switchgears, and transformers
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures
