Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Coder Sr Coding HB MFH.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines
• Extract and abstract required information from source documentation into electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with HIM and Clinical Documentation Specialists to ensure accurate physician documentation

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Completion of an Accredited Baccalaureate Health Informatics or Health Information Management program preferred
• 3-5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting preferred
• At least one certification required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA from AHIMA)
