Texas Licensed Infrastructure Executive

Job Summary

Leading the digital technology operations at MD Anderson, the full-time salaried Texas Licensed Infrastructure Executive will oversee infrastructure engineering, cloud services, and data center management while ensuring the reliability and evolution of critical systems in a hybrid onsite/remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve the enterprise infrastructure and operations strategy aligned with MD Anderson's digital transformation roadmap
• Drive infrastructure modernization, including cloud-native architecture and hybrid cloud management, while evaluating and adopting emerging technologies
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities, ensuring institutional digital resilience and compliance with security standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex I&O organizations across multiple technical domains, including cloud and data center operations
• Experience managing significant capital and operating budgets, including cloud cost optimization and vendor negotiations
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and present compelling business cases
