Texas Licensed Inside Underwriter

Job Summary

Managing the underwriting process, the full-time Texas Licensed Inside Underwriter will ensure adherence to carrier guidelines, make underwriting decisions, and cultivate relationships with carriers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting process in compliance with carrier guidelines and company policies
• Submit information to brokerage markets for accounts outside binding authority
• Negotiate terms and coverages with markets and communicate decisions to producers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or appropriate insurance designation
• Three years of experience in underwriting or brokering E&S or specialty insurance products
• Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
• Strong understanding of the underwriting and brokerage process
• Ability to analyze insurance policies and determine terms and conditions
