Job Summary
To enhance literacy outcomes for high school students, the full-time salaried Texas Licensed Instructional Coach will support Tier 2 instructional practices, align intervention strategies with STAAR standards, and coach teachers through modeling best practices and providing actionable feedback in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure Tier 2 instruction is aligned with STAAR standards and implemented consistently across teachers
- Coach Tier 2 teachers by identifying, observing, and promoting effective instructional strategies for intervention
- Monitor and analyze student performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of Tier 2 instruction and design targeted follow-up plans
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with an endorsement in English Language Arts and Reading, Grades 7-12
- 3-5 years of successful ELA classroom teaching experience at the middle school level
- Proficiency in using the Google Workspace suite in a professional or academic setting
- Strong knowledge of Tier 2 intervention instructional strategies and assessment tools
