Texas Licensed Managing Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Managing Legal & Compliance Counsel to lead a commercial legal team and handle complex SaaS deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop legal team members while managing workflows and performance
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-impact agreements, including SaaS subscriptions and vendor contracts
• Oversee compliance and privacy strategies in commercial contracts and manage global initiatives

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas state bar
• 7+ years of experience in commercial/technology transactions, particularly with SaaS and software licensing
• Experience managing legal staff and leading teams
• Strong knowledge of CCPA/CPRA and GDPR in commercial contexts
• Familiarity with global contracting and multi-jurisdictional deals preferred
