Job Summary
To support patient care in a remote setting, a Texas Licensed Medical Assistant will provide supportive functions under supervision, ensure patient safety, and perform delegated tasks, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks for higher-level positions
- Perform high-level clinical procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff at the highest level
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- No experience required with certification/registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ years of directly related experience without certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Basic medical/nursing terminology and computer proficiency
