Job Summary
To support patient care in a remote setting, a Texas Licensed Medical Assistant will provide supportive functions under supervision, administer injectables, and perform high-level clinical procedures, depending on their level of experience and certification.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks as a Medical Assistant II
- Serve as a resource for less experienced staff and perform high-level clinical procedures as a Medical Assistant III
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- No experience required with certification/registration or 1 year of related experience without certification/registration
- Basic medical/nursing terminology and computer proficiency
