Texas Licensed Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs all aspects of accounts receivable collection and reprocessing of claims
• Audits and resolves accounts with credit and outstanding balances, and posts payments and adjustments
• Responds to patient inquiries and collaborates with management regarding data quality

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems (or related field) with 1+ years' experience, or Coding Certification/Billing Certificate with 2 years' experience, or 5+ years' experience in healthcare billing and collections
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules, and insurance reimbursement methods
• Understanding of the claims appeal process and managed care contracts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
