Job Summary
To support case management operations, the full-time Texas Licensed Medical Case Manager Assistant will handle incoming calls, manage referrals in the Utilization Review system, and assist case managers with documentation and workflow in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to phone inquiries and direct them to the appropriate parties
- Assist case management staff by preparing routine correspondence and obtaining clinical information from providers
- Monitor dedicated queues and ensure timely processing of determinations and correspondence
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; medical or managed care background preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical or managed care environment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and referral criteria
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to navigate a paperless environment
