Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder 3.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and code inpatient and IVR medical records, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS/CPT-4 HCPCS codes
  • Abstract demographic and coding information accurately into the EMR and assign correct DRG/APC
  • Mentor new coders and assist with coding unassigned or backlogged accounts


Required Qualifications and Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
  • Certifications in coding preferred upon hire (e.g., Cert Coding Spec, Cert Prof Coder)
  • Experience in a remote work environment
  • Computer/data entry experience
