Job Summary
To support a busy practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Medical Physicist will provide medical physics coverage at the San Marcos Cancer Center, overseeing radiation oncology physics, treatment planning for stereotactic cases, and collaborating with nearby clinics while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of radiation oncology physics, including quality assurance and external beam clinical support
- Oversee a busy stereotactic program, including treatment planning for intracranial SRS cases
- Collaborate and provide cross coverage with nearby Texas Oncology clinics, including HDR duties
Required qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program
- Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program
- ABR board certification or in the process of obtaining certification
- Eligibility for a Texas license
- Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
