• Code inpatient and outpatient medical records while applying ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT guidelines
• Process medical record release requests ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance
• Meet accuracy and productivity standards and reduce coding backlogs

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Record Technician
• Coding credentials preferred, such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-P
• Knowledge of VA or large health system workflows
• Eligibility for VA background and system access
