Job Summary
Serving as a key liaison for Texas facilities, the full-time Texas Licensed Medical Records Analyst will resolve complex coding and claims issues by collaborating across departments, focusing on outpatient coding compliance, and ensuring timely claim submissions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve coding and claims discrepancies by performing real-time corrections and collaborating with various departments
- Assist with DNFB initiatives and audit support for outpatient accounts, ensuring compliance with medical necessity guidelines
- Monitor reports and implement process improvements based on data analysis and trends
Required qualifications
- Associate's Degree or higher in Health Information Management or a related field, or equivalent coding experience
- Coding certification required or to be obtained within 12 months of employment
- Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and outpatient coding guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data mining software
- Understanding of Medicare and Medical assistance regulations
