Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder-Intermediate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews and assigns diagnostic and procedural codes based on medical record documentation
  • Abstracts patient-related data and codes diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Ensures timely and accurate billing through charge review and claim edits
Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Three (3) years of experience in medical record abstraction and coding
  • Accreditation from a professional coding organization (e.g., AHIMA, AAPC) is required
  • High school graduate or equivalent
