Job Summary
As a full-time, remote Texas Licensed Nurse Coder, the professional will provide coding expertise and clinical support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement coding initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with clinical and operational teams on coding initiatives, providing strategic guidance for implementation
- Develop and promote standardized coding methodologies to ensure accurate and compliant benefit digitization
- Manage procedure and service code groupings, maintaining coding integrity through quality oversight and adherence to regulations
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Certified Professional Coder (AAPC or AHIMA)
- Active unrestricted nursing license
- 3+ years of experience with coding and reimbursement methodologies (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
