Job Summary
Supporting the Precision Medicine team, the remote Texas Licensed Oncology Data Engineer will design and build robust data pipelines, implement new data architecture, and integrate AI functionalities to enhance data delivery and informatics decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and transformation from various sources
- Integrate AI functionalities into data platforms using OpenAI tools and collaborate with AI teams on solutions
- Implement monitoring systems and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless data integration and performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 7-10 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in healthcare
- Strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with SQL and strong scripting skills (e.g., Python)
- Understanding of oncology workflows, clinical data types, and healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10)
