Job Summary
A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract analytic and nonanalytic cases, collecting data as per established guidelines
- Maintain a 95% accuracy rate in abstracting and follow-up processes
- Assist in staging and prepare charts for physician review, including peer review activities
Required Qualifications
- College-level courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, or an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Oncology Data Specialist Certification upon hire
- Minimum of 6 abstracts per day and 35 cases completed per week for remote abstractors
- Experience in an approved tumor registry is preferred
- Attendance at at least one relevant meeting annually for compliance
