Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abstract analytic and nonanalytic cases, collecting data as per established guidelines
  • Maintain a 95% accuracy rate in abstracting and follow-up processes
  • Assist in staging and prepare charts for physician review, including peer review activities
Required Qualifications
  • College-level courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, or an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Oncology Data Specialist Certification upon hire
  • Minimum of 6 abstracts per day and 35 cases completed per week for remote abstractors
  • Experience in an approved tumor registry is preferred
  • Attendance at at least one relevant meeting annually for compliance
