Job Summary
To support a growing oncology practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Oncology Nurse Navigator will provide professional services to adult patients, manage medication therapy, and coordinate care while working remotely from within a commutable distance to Houston, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with patients to help them understand their disease, treatment plans, and potential side effects
- Provide medication therapy management and document adverse drug reactions according to manufacturer guidelines
- Follow up with adult patients and healthcare providers to monitor progress towards drug treatment goals
Required qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (desired)
- 1+ years of experience in an oncology nursing setting (required); 1+ years in a specialty pharmacy setting (desired)
- Current license as a registered nurse (required); pediatric nursing certification and ONCC or ONS certification (desired)
- Compassionate, outgoing, and energetic attitude with multi-tasking ability
- Critical thinking and adaptability skills
