Job Summary
To support a growing telemedicine practice, a part-time Texas Licensed Ophthalmologist will deliver consultations and follow-up care for elderly patients using a proprietary AI-assisted platform, with flexible scheduling of 1-2 days per week and the option to work remotely from anywhere in Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct video-based ophthalmic consultations and review AI-generated pre-assessments for elderly patients
- Diagnose and manage common geriatric eye conditions, prescribing medications and coordinating referrals as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with Texas Medical Board standards and participate in quality reviews to improve AI diagnostic accuracy
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Ophthalmology
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Minimum 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in ophthalmology
- Experience or comfort treating geriatric patients
- Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and digital health tools
