Job Summary
Optical engineers with Python proficiency will find a part-time freelance opportunity focused on designing computational physics problems that simulate real research workflows, working remotely on a project-based basis.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational physics problems requiring Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive
- Develop problems based on real research challenges in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
- Document problem statements clearly and verify solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries
Required qualifications
- Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with knowledge of additional programming languages as a plus
- 2+ years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
- Experience with numerical simulation methods and problem design in physics
- Strong written English proficiency (C1+)
