Texas Licensed Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as the primary contact for assigned clients, the full-time Texas Licensed Payroll Specialist will manage multi-state payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for shared employees while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain payroll-related accounts and ensure the accuracy of payroll processing, including reconciliation and data entry
• Process new hire paperwork and maintain records for payroll transactions, addressing any discrepancies with clients
• Collect and verify necessary documentation for payroll compliance, including W-4 and I-9 forms, and process E-Verify

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing, including garnishments and W-2 & I-9 maintenance
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
• Working knowledge of payroll database systems and time clock systems
• Bilingual skills are preferred
