Job Summary
To provide high-quality medical nutrition therapy to patients, the part-time Texas Licensed Pediatric Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, and offer nutrition education in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to establish goals for patient nutrition care
- Documents nutrition care plans, including assessments and recommendations, in the medical record
- Provides age-appropriate nutrition education to patients and families, considering cultural and religious preferences
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or a related area; Master's required if registration obtained after January 1, 2024
- Registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- CPR Certification (Heart Saver) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or obtained within six months of hire
- Completion of a qualified professional experience required for the registered dietitian exam
- Ability to interact positively with diverse individuals
