Texas Licensed Pharmacy Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee pharmacy operations for a payer-owned, mail-order pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations, including dispensing and clinical services
• Develop and implement pharmacy strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost containment and adherence improvement
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations while overseeing financial performance and inventory management

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive pharmacy experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Current and active Pharmacist Licensure issued by the Texas Board of Pharmacy
• Experience in managed care, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy operations preferred
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced business degree preferred
