Texas Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pharmacy Technician, Prior Authorization, to assist with the prior authorization process while working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and requests related to prior authorization with professionalism and accuracy
• Maintain complete and timely documentation of reviews and escalate clinical inquiries to the pharmacist team
• Assist with additional duties such as outbound calls, processing faxes, and monitoring department mailboxes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Basic pharmaceutical knowledge related to terminology, calculations, and protocols
• Ability to multitask and utilize multiple system applications simultaneously
• Capability to maintain confidentiality of Protected Healthcare Information (PHI)
