Job Summary
A company is looking for a Prior Authorization & Patient Assistance Prior Authorization Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact insurance carriers to verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Request, track, and obtain prior authorization status from Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist
- Document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel in standardized formats
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in verifying patient insurance eligibility and coordinating prior authorization requests
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended
- Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred
- Extensive retail experience is strongly preferred
