Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization & Patient Assistance Prior Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact insurance carriers to verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Request, track, and obtain prior authorization status from Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist
  • Document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel in standardized formats
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in verifying patient insurance eligibility and coordinating prior authorization requests
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended
  • Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred
  • Extensive retail experience is strongly preferred
