Job Summary
Supporting clinical pharmacy programs, the full-time Texas Licensed Pharmacy Technician will assist providers with medication authorization requests, complete electronic prior authorization questionnaires, and communicate with various stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete electronic prior authorization (ePA) questions within EMR systems and external payer websites
- Review patient charts and clinical documentation to support prior authorization requests
- Communicate with insurance payers to follow up on pending authorization cases and resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- Active TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in pharmacy, call center, or customer service environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with electronic prior authorizations (ePA) or pharmacy benefit management processes preferred
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
