Job Summary

Supporting clinical pharmacy programs, the full-time Texas Licensed Pharmacy Technician will assist providers with medication authorization requests, complete electronic prior authorization questionnaires, and communicate with various stakeholders in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete electronic prior authorization (ePA) questions within EMR systems and external payer websites
  • Review patient charts and clinical documentation to support prior authorization requests
  • Communicate with insurance payers to follow up on pending authorization cases and resolve issues
Required Qualifications
  • Active TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in pharmacy, call center, or customer service environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with electronic prior authorizations (ePA) or pharmacy benefit management processes preferred
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
