Job Summary
Working remotely, the part-time hourly Call Center Pharmacy Technician will manage inbound calls from members and providers, review clinical documentation for prior authorization, and document determinations while ensuring compliance with protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from members, providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Guide callers through the criteria-based prior authorization process with strong customer service
- Document approvals/denials accurately and timely, escalating complex inquiries to the pharmacist
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an administrative support or call center role
- High-volume customer service or call center experience preferred, ideally in healthcare
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
- Pharmacy Tech license/certification preferred, with eligibility for registration/licensure per state regulations
