Job Summary
As a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Victoria, Texas, the Texas Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to enhance their well-being while adhering to the established plan of care.
Key responsibilities:
- Follow state-specific laws and the treatment plan defined by the supervising Physical Therapist, performing only qualified procedures
- Instruct and assist patients with exercises, muscle re-education, and activities of daily living (ADL) while coordinating care with the healthcare team
- Observe and report on patient responses to treatment and changes in condition, ensuring effective communication with the supervising PT and other healthcare professionals
Required qualifications:
- Current Texas license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, with access to reliable transportation
- Availability to work a weekend rotation
