Job Summary
To support the United States Coast Guard, the remote Lead Physician Assistant will manage medical record reviews, adjudicate medical waivers, and conduct military medical assessments, requiring a Doctorate or Master's degree and board certification.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct medical record reviews and adjudicate medical waivers for applicants
- Perform military medical assessments and ensure compliance with USCG and DoD medical policies
- Lead research projects evaluating outcomes of medical waivers and provide constructive feedback
Required qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's Degree in a medical field from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- A minimum of three years of experience in medical record review or military medical assessments
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including Cerner EMR and MHS GENESIS
