Texas Licensed Provider Contracts Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Provider Contracts for Texas Medicaid and Nursing Facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Provider Contracting functions and team members, leading daily operations and negotiations with providers
• Oversee the development of provider contracting strategies, including Value Based Payment (VBP) models, to ensure network adequacy
• Implement cost control initiatives and lead re-contracting efforts to achieve annual savings and improve Medical Care Ratio (MCR)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years' experience in Healthcare Administration, Managed Care, or Provider Contracting, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• 5+ years' experience in provider contract negotiations in a managed healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of managed healthcare provider compensation and VBP methodologies
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing or supervising employees
