Job Summary
To support a growing remote practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and develop treatment plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and provide individual psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, educating patients on their use and potential side effects
- Document patient histories, treatment plans, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations in the electronic health record (EHR)
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, including those with severe mental illness (SMI)
- Familiarity with treatment planning and comprehensive assessments
