Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing remote practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and develop treatment plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and provide individual psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, educating patients on their use and potential side effects
• Document patient histories, treatment plans, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations in the electronic health record (EHR)

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
• Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, including those with severe mental illness (SMI)
• Familiarity with treatment planning and comprehensive assessments
