Job Summary
To support a telehealth-based behavioral health program, the contracted Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct initiating visits for psychiatric evaluations, establish care plans, and supervise peer support specialists while managing their own schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations via telehealth and establish plans of care for patients entering the PIN-PS program
- Document visits in the EHR within 48 hours and ensure compliance with billing standards
- Provide general supervision of certified peer support specialists and furnish follow-up visits as clinically indicated
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted APRN/NP licensure in Texas or other specified states
- National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Ability to meet any state-specific collaboration or supervision requirements
- Active NPI and eligibility to enroll with Medicare and Medicaid
- Experience and comfort with telehealth care for adults with serious behavioral health conditions
