Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions for adolescent and adult patients
- Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor patients' medication usage and side effects
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and national standards
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Ability to work with patients across the lifespan (ages 13 years and older)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
