Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
- Order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and monitor patients' medication use and side effects
- Document patient histories, treatment plans, and outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health with a focus on treating adults and individuals with severe mental illness
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Experience with EHRs and timely documentation practices
