Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose psychiatric disorders, conducting individual psychotherapy and prescribing medications as needed
- Collaborate with team members to develop and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans while educating patients and families about mental health conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health treatment
- Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, including those with severe mental illness
- Familiarity with EHRs and compliance with HIPAA regulations
