Job Summary
To support a growing remote practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while adhering to regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and provide individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients and families about treatment options
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in addiction and mental health treatment
- Comfortable working with patients aged 13 and older
- Ability to utilize telehealth technology and maintain timely documentation
